07.26.10-Get Ready For
"The Rock Island Sessions / iTunes Originals"
Releases August 31st!
Fitting as the soundtrack to the ending of the summer season, Cherry Squared Entertainment and iTunes will release "The Rock Island Sessions-iTunes Originals EP" on August 31st. This 5 song EP features four fan favorites performed as an acoustic set and will also serve up the new single, "California" from the next full length album. It will be sold exclusively through iTunes as a digital download and BrienTravis.com on limited edition CD. Check back August 1st for the track listing and a new interview with Brien about the recording of his first iTunes Originals collection.

07.01.10 - New album announcements."Piano In The Dark" will be released in September worldwide on iTunes and BrienTravis.com. "Dark" is a collection of instrumental piano compositions that were mainly written as they were recorded- you guessed it- in the dark at Brien's home studio. Also coming this summer is "The Rock Island Sessions EP / iTunes Originals", acoustic renditions of fan favorites along with a new song. And just in time for the holiday season,, Brien will release his new vocal full-length album. Look for a single & video late fall. The album, currently untitled, is scheduled to start recording in August in Brien's favorite locale, Rock Island, TN. The project is global-literally-with Japanese acoustic duo Michi Michi and Poland native DJ Twilight making contributions. Become a member of The Bungalow by signing up in the store.

06.30.10 - A Vanishing South All through out the summer, Brien will be photographing his hometown area as well as the rest of Tennessee for his upcoming photography book, "A Vanishing South". The book is planned to have a 2011 retail release, with an option to purchase prints this fall from The Speakeasy store.

Here's the official video for "Voodoo", which is getting the re-release treatment as part of promoting Brien's compilation album "Tales of Lazy Wednesdays". The Voodoo Remixes EP is coming to iTunes in August.
